Dan and his team did an incredible job with the renovation of our cottage in Stonington. Where other contractors said it couldn’t be done, Dan and crew made it look easy. From the permitting process to final inspection, Dan was exact when things would happen and how much it would cost. We stayed on schedule and within budget. This was a major renovation: a complete rebuild of our second floor, adding a full bathroom, laundry, plus some edits to the first floor and basement. The work took less than 3 months. No one believed we would have our cottage back before Memorial Day, but we did with several weeks to spare. Thank you, Dan and team, for your professionalism and hard work! We love the result!

I had a wonderful experience working with Dan to completely renovate my 1920s cottage in Stonington. The project went very smoothly and moved along quickly. Dan was on top of everything and the quality of work is excellent. He explained all the steps along way so I was able to make decisions that worked best for my budget as well as for my vision of the finished cottage. I am just thrilled with the finished product!

Dan and his team worked on updating our Stonington beach house this Autumn and did an absolutely wonderful job! The project consisted of new siding, roof, extensive foundational work and creating a beautiful and much more practical use of space for our lower level. He is professional, knowledgable, upfront about realistic goals but went above and beyond even when I thought a request may be out of reach. His team was incredibly hard working and efficient. I also loved that Dan took care of hiring the landscapers and window treatment company so I didn’t have to do the research to find a good fit. They were great as well. I have nothing but positive things to say about Dan, Aschly and company and would recommend them any day!

Working with Dan has been incredible. I found the perfect weekend home in May and closed shortly thereafter and was introduced to Dan the day after closing. I wanted to be able to enjoy part of the summer and had a fair amount of work to be done. Everyone warned me that I was being too ambitious and that I should expect the contractor to drop the ball at some point. Well, I am happy to say that their work was on time, impeccable and of the highest quality (no shortcuts to speed it along) and Dan’s attention to his customers goes beyond what I have ever experienced (I was in real estate for 20 years). The work days were thoroughly planned out and presented to me and Dan always made himself available for any questions. If there was need for immediate attention, he was on it and even came on a weekend when we couldn’t figure something out. In addition, Aschly provided excellent and well needed design advice for the interior when it came to colors and ideas. On top of all of this, they are just really nice people too, which only elevates the experience. I highly recommend them…Friends and neighbors who have visited and saw the house before were all stunned at how beautiful the work was and that it was done so efficiently. I will use them for all future work as well.

We have had the pleasure of working with Dan and his crew many times over the years. Simply put I will never use another contractor for any work on my house other than Dan! He has done both large and small jobs at our house and all have been done with great skill and professionalism. He stands by his work 100%. He is honest and fair regarding how much things will cost and willing to work with us to help decrease costs when able…His work is impeccable. The addition he put on is a lovely handicap-accessible master bedroom and bathroom and a beautiful library with built-in bookshelves floor to ceiling with a rolling latter. It is truly beautiful.

I first hired Dan and Aschly to perform a complex addition at our office building. Their work was far superior to the original builder. Great crew, great attention to details and timely. About a year later, I had them add a conference room and foyer to the same building. Another excellent job and the place looked fantastic. All our customers were impressed. I enjoyed working with them so much that I hired them to add a large living room and sun room wing to my home in Willington as well as a full renovation of the existing structure. Dan has excellent problem solving skills and managed to overcome supply chain issues to get the job done in an artisanal fashion. You won’t find a better contractor to work with in CT. We are so excited to have them build our new home in Stonington. It will be a tear down and rebuild at Lord’s Point. They have been “hand holding” us during this whole process!
